DAYTIME COMPANIONSHIP FOR SENIORS

A Home Away from Home.

Located in Hillsboro, Oregon

The Problem...

  • The demand of providing continuous care can be exhausting and Seniors can experience feelings of loneliness and isolation.

The Solution...
  • YOU both need a BREAK! I've designed a place that addresses and alleviates both of these concerns. At the Daylight Home, seniors find solace in an environment that fosters connections and deeper relationships, combating the feelings of isolation and at the same time giving you, the caregiver, a much needed break.

TOP BENEFITS

Social Enrichment:

Seniors experience an intimate community, fostering connections and friendships, and reducing feelings of isolation and loneliness.

Enriching Programs:

Through diverse activities, personalized care plans, and friendships we enhance seniors' physical, mental, and emotional well-being, providing a day full of purpose and fulfilment.

Affordability:

The Daylight home is an affordable option for Senior care. Our prices are much lower than in-home care and Senior Living Communities. Thus, helping you help your Senior "Age in Place".

ABOUT ME

I've spent most all of my working career with Seniors. From working as a CNA to owning/running a Senior Day Center to working as a Life Engagement Manager in an Assisted Living community and Memory Community. My work experience has given me opportunities to help seniors in all kinds of settings. I believe the best quality care is found in making deep connections with Seniors in a small intimate environment. I also believe that the connections made between peers is important and rewarding. Most importantly I believe Seniors will thrive "Ageing in Place" as long as possible. With those beliefs in mind, I came up with the idea of The Daylight Home, an individualized care system that incorporates peers in a small intimate group setting. The Daylight Home is a good mixture of A Day Center and In-home care with a few friends! My motto is "laughter is the best medicine" If I can make someone smile or laugh I believe I've done my job!

I grew up in a small town in Wyoming. My husband and I moved here as young adults and have been here for 27 years. We have raised all 5 of our kids here and are lucky to still have them close by. Most of my free time is spent having fun with our kids. They keep us young and full of adventure. My summers are filled with boating, hiking, RV trips, spending time in the back yard and working in the yard. The rest of the year I'm busy with Holidays! Christmas is my favorite time of the year and I am known for having way too many trees and starting my decorations way too early. I'm also a self taught DIY'er with many projects on my to-do list. I love baking and making yummy home cooked dinners. I love the smell of fresh baked bread. I enjoy History and everything vintage, from people to story's to stuff!
